HISTORY OF THE LAKE

Some of the history of the lake and how it became Trentside Fishery. The  Lake was a clay pit  on the site of an old Brickworks it was called The Old Brick Pond.

The brickworks were abandoned .The Brick Pond has had only a few owner's in that time,  one being Arora sport of Sheffield.

At one time this Fishery was ranked in the top ten of Tench waters in the country.

There are a lot of Big fish in the lake , the Lake is around 7acre with a lot of natural wilde life and natural vegetation the best Pike caught was one of 36lb a few years ago.

There are Bream to 12lb,Roach to 3lb,Perch to 4lb, Tench to 13lb, Rudd to 2-3lb, Carp to 34lb, Eels to 6lb , we also have a Catfish of around 40lb it's been caught  3 times this year and accounted for numerus amounts of lost tackle and broken poles, but never been landed .

Tony Booth and his wife Linda took over the lake in 2004 and they named it Trentside Fishery, since then two years of hard work has been carried out improving the fishing pegs and restocking with fast growing Carp . we have installed Aerators to improve the oxygen levels put in place large flat pegs in some areas for wheelchairs, we have a porta loo on site, we are constantly improving the site

VEHICLE'S WILL BE SEARCHED RANDOMLY .
